"We all have moments in our lives when we need a supportive person to come alongside us and walk part of our journey with us. There’s great healing that can happen in those moments of support. Helping strengthen families in our community is something I’m very passionate about and I believe that the therapeutic relationship can bring about a series of positive growth in a variety of ways.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I take a client-centered approach while working with my clients. I enjoy meeting with children, teens, and adults with various presenting stressors including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, phase of life dynamics, and adjustment issues.
As a Registered Play Therapist, I believe in the therapeutic powers of play. It is through this belief that play is seen as a natural way for children to express, from their perspective, what happens in their world. Because of this belief, I utilize play therapy techniques to meet children where they are and to understand their stressors through their most natural form of communication. In addition to utilizing play therapy techniques, I will also utilize evidenced-based therapeutic approaches that are trauma informed, solution focused, and attachment oriented."
