Impacts
We believe that Lilyfield is a catalyst of hope and transformation in the communities we serve. We believe that the future for vulnerable children and families in our state can be brighter than the past.
We invite you to come along with us as we dream a big dream – to reduce risk for marginalized and underserved families and to empower them to provide the safety and stability that children need to grow and thrive.
Since 2000, Lilyfield has provided safe and stable families for at-risk children and youth in Oklahoma. In 2021, Lilyfield served more than 804 individuals in partnership with over 230 volunteers.
Lilyfield’s services have expanded and adapted over the past 32 years to better and more fully serve vulnerable children and families in the state.
We provide foster care for children and youth in state custody; counseling for children and families impacted by foster care, adoption, or trauma; and comprehensive social services to vulnerable families at risk for involvement with the child welfare system.
As Lilyfield grows, we continue to see opportunities to further strengthen families and the communities in which they live. To share our vision, we are launching a Three Year Cultivate Campaign. Lilyfield is taking action steps to “Cultivate” for the future by Renewing Families, Restoring Connections and Rebuilding Communities. Here is what this looks like in year one.
Meeting the unique needs of the families we serve by investing in the expansion and renovation of almost 15,000 square feet in two buildings centrally located in our services areas in North Tulsa and South OKC.
OKC Capital Campaign — $1,115,620
Because of our extraordinary growth and demand for better usable space for all of our South Oklahoma City programming, we are adding 8,000 square feet to our existing family resource center located at Penn and Exchange. The space will be expanded to provide a beautiful, welcoming space that will allow children and their parents to envision a future full of opportunity and hope.
Tulsa Capital Campaign — $475,406
Tulsa programming has grown exponentially and proven the need for a Family Resource Center to allow us to increase supports, services and programming. We are renovating a building at 26th North Apache to provide a permanent welcoming space where families can grow stronger and build networks of safe connections.
Helping over 2,000 children and families reach their full potential.
AmeriCorps — $179,490
Lilyfield AmeriCorps members serve as mentors for children and families in public schools in south Oklahoma City and North Tulsa. AmeriCorps members implement the Check & Connect mentoring program resulting in improved social and emotional skills for children at risk for child maltreatment.
Youth Mentoring — $227,930
Providing comprehensive, evidence-based group mentoring services to at-risk children designed to improve child safety, mental well-being, and social emotional competence within partner schools, housing sites and at our family resource centers.
Counseling — $183,075
Serving children and families through
evidence-based, trauma-informed, and attachment-focused interventions, who are disproportionately impacted by risk factors that increase mental health challenges.
Foundations
Providing valuable parenting education and support for women of all ages as they embark on the journey of pregnancy and/or parenting children ages 12 months and under. We provide individual and group counseling, education, and support services to help empower women to provide the solid foundation in life that is critical for young infants.
Bright Futures
Serving children and families through education support, family strengthening activities, individualized parent coaching, and other services designed to transform families and communities to be places where children are safe and can thrive. The Bright Futures program improves family stability by using a parent peer-support and coaching model to promote family stability in the communities.
Foster Care
Providing foster care for children ages 0 to 17 years who are in the custody of the State of Oklahoma due to child abuse or neglect. The Lilyfield staff and foster parents form a team to provide a healthy, healing environment to the children placed in foster homes.
Child Care
Our licensed childcare center offers high quality affordable childcare to children in South Oklahoma City, allowing parents the peace of mind to know their children are safe and well cared for while they work.
Expanding Access to Services – $125,000
It is critical that we help families overcome barriers that keep them from receiving the support they need. This funding will allow us to purchase one van to provide transportation for services and to purchase and equip an additional vehicle as a mobile family resource center, allowing us to take our services into the community furthering our site-based approach.
Staff Care & Support — $42,118
Lilyfield’s team is our most valuable asset and the work they do provides tremendous benefit to our communities. Our work can be equally rewarding and difficult. We work hard to provide skills training, individual support, counseling and support, and spiritual care and direction for our team members. This allows us to care for them while they care for children and families in our community.
Operating Support — $176,145
Ensuring that we have a strong foundation from which to provide services is vital. This includes maintaining compliance with licensing and legal standards, maintaining accreditation so that we can provide certain services, maintaining physical spaces, using secure HIPPA compliant software and IT infrastructure, and ensuring financial integrity. Funding under operation supports a wide spectrum from providing program curricula to offering a comfortably maintained environment.
Preserving Investments
Endowment - $30,000 needed to gain $10,000 Oklahoma City Community Foundation match support.
Lilyfield has maintained vital programming for over 22 years. As our programs and services have grown and expanded, the need for sustainable funding has dramatically increased. An endowment fund is a valuable long-term strategy to ensure Lilyfield is equipped to provide much needed services well into the future. All generations of children and families deserve to have safe and stable homes.
